No reviews
Ablade Glover is a veteran of Ghanas art scene and one of its most important artists working today. His vibrant paintings depicting local life in Ghana, from scenes of its teeming markets to portaits of its strong women, have been exhibited internationally. Light and Vibrancy in Paris, marks the first time that his work is being honoured with a solo show in France. This exhibition could have been titled Loving Painting, given how much the love of painting and sharing is felt in each of the works by this icon in the history of contemporary art from Africa. On the cusp of a new era in African art, he is one of the rare few to enjoy recognition both on the stage of the African continent, which is historically centred on local production, and the international stage.
